Christian CEO’s – Leading With Integrity

Being a Christian CEO can be a challenging experience – especially in today’s environment. It can also be rewarding both temporally and eternally.

As a leaders in the business world, it is important for Christian CEO’s not only strive for success in terms of financial gain, but also to lead with integrity and a strong moral compass.

Treat Other as You Want to Be Treated

One of the core values of being a Christian CEO is the belief in treating others with kindness, respect, and fairness. This means treating employees, customers, vendors, and business partners with dignity and compassion. It also means being honest and transparent in all business dealings, and not taking advantage of others for personal gain.

“And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.”

Luke 6:31

Embrace and Execute on Servant Leadership

Another important aspect of being a Christian CEO is the concept of servant leadership. This means putting the needs of others before your own, and using your position of power and influence to help others.

Remember, the greatest pair of feet to ever walk the earth came to serve, not to be served.

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Matthew 20:28

This can manifest in many ways, such as through charitable giving and community involvement, or through creating a positive work environment for employees.

Practically speaking, be on the lookout for opportunities to serve others. I guarantee the opportunities are there, you just have to look for them.

Ultimate Accountability

Being a Christian CEO also means being accountable for your actions and decisions. This means taking responsibility for any mistakes or failures, and working to make things right. It also means being open to feedback and criticism, and using it to grow and improve as a leader.

Not only are we accountable to employees, clients, shareholders, etc., we are ultimately accountable to God. We cannot outrun or hide anything from him!

This also gives us a great freedom.

Be a Model of Christ

In addition, being a Christian CEO means being a role model for others. This means setting a good example through your words and actions, and being a positive influence on those around you.

It also means being a leader in the community, and using your platform to promote the good new and make a positive impact for the kingdom of God.

No Fear of Failure

Last time I checked, Romans 8:28 is still in the Bible.

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”

Romans 8:28

This is so exciting because in the end, we can’t lose. What a freeing experience!

Of course, this doesn’t mean that we should make reckless decisions (God did provide us with an intellect). But it does mean that we can have an eternal confidence that everything is going to be ok, and work out according to His plans.

Understand Forgiveness

It’s worth noting that being a Christian CEO doesn’t mean that you can’t make mistakes, be wrong or be human. “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

Rather, it means that you strive to live by the principles of your faith and are willing to be held accountable to those principles.

Lead With Excellence

In conclusion, being a Christian CEO is about much more than just making money. It’s about leading with integrity, compassion, and a strong moral compass. It’s about putting the needs of others before your own, and using your position of power to make a positive impact in the world.

As Christian CEO’s, we have the opportunity to lead by example and be a shining light in the business world.

Let’s go!
